Week 1 ·
The Step
The basic step, slow, then slower. Weight, landing, knees. How to practise for an hour without wrecking your joints or your neighbours.
By Day 7: the step, clean, at half tempo.
What you learn
Athletic posture, soft knees, weight on the balls of your feet, loose upper body. Find the bounce on the kick.
The drill
Bounce on the pulse for one minute without stopping.
What you learn
The alternating basic step at half tempo. Pattern into the body first, speed later.
The drill
Loop the basic step over 8 counts, slow.
What you learn
Lock the step onto the kick, count the beat, stay on time.
The drill
One step on every kick for 30 seconds straight.
What you learn
Add the forward kick inside the step.
The drill
Step + kick combo, slow.
What you learn
Weight transfer. Stay light and mobile, never flat. This is the difference between looking stiff and looking clean.
The drill
Light-feet drill: minimum ground contact, continuous.
What you learn
Take days 2 to 4 and push the tempo towards 180.
The drill
Tempo ladder: slow, medium, fast.
What you learn
Chain stance + bounce + basic step + kick into one continuous 30-second loop over a full-tempo track.
The drill
The loop, three rounds.

Week 2 ·
The Speed
Backwards step. Tempo. The transition that catches everyone out. Getting from 140 to 180 without your feet falling apart.
By Day 14: full tempo, both directions.
What you learn
Clean speed at 180+ through a BPM ladder drill.
The drill
BPM ladder until failure.
What you learn
Your first variation on the basic step — shuffle and side variation.
The drill
Alternate basic and variation every 8 counts.
What you learn
Dance while travelling forward, back and sideways — not planted on the spot.
The drill
Box pattern: forward, back, left, right.
What you learn
Add rotation — quarter and half turns without losing the beat.
The drill
One turn every 8 counts.
What you learn
Dance a full track without stopping. Conditioning for a rave set.
The drill
Full track, non-stop.
What you learn
Tie step + variation + kick + turn into combinations that flow.
The drill
A four-move chain, repeated.
What you learn
Thirty seconds of free movement using everything so far. No fixed choreography.
The drill
Freestyle 30 seconds, three times.

Week 3 ·
Your Own Thing
Arms and upper body. Linking steps. Reading the track so you land on the kick instead of chasing it. Then you stop copying and start doing your own thing.
By Day 21: you walk onto a floor and hakken without thinking about it.
What you learn
Add your own flavour: accents, upper body, attitude. Why two people do the same step and look nothing alike.
The drill
Same step, three different flavours.
What you learn
Dance the whole track — build, break, drop. Hit the drop instead of just riding the kick.
The drill
Mark the drop on a track you choose.
What you learn
Freestyle without freezing. Build a personal vocabulary of moves you can reach for.
The drill
Name your five core moves, then freestyle using only those.
What you learn
Dance inside a crowd: spatial awareness, energy exchange, no mirror.
The drill
Freestyle with your head up — do not look at your feet.
What you learn
A full set at full energy, rave intensity. Bring power, not just precision.
The drill
Full track at maximum energy.
What you learn
Film yourself well: framing, angles, presenting your dance. This feeds the whole mission economy.
The drill
Film the same 20 seconds three ways, from different angles.
What you learn
A full freestyle over a full track, everything integrated. Now you dance in the chaos.
The drill
The graduation freestyle.
One per day, mapped to the drill you're training. Kicks you can lock onto, not background noise: a gabber finds the beat by feel, never by counting.

Your hakken mentor!
@gbr_ninho“Hey, I’m Gabber Ninho. Your teacher!”
Not a guru. One of us. No dance school. No certificate on the wall. Just years of reps, floors, and the scars on his sneakers to prove it.
“And here’s where I’ve been.”

We dance in the chaos.
Deaf to your world.
Fair. Every question, every doubt, answered straight.
No. Day 1 assumes your legs know nothing. That's the point of a system: you don't need talent to start, you need order.
Week 1 will be fast for you. Weeks 2 and 3 won't. Speed, control and reading the track at 180+ BPM humble everyone.
One lesson and one drill per day. You choose when. Miss a day? Nothing breaks, pick up where you left off.
By day 7 your legs know the step. By day 14 you hold full tempo. By day 21 you walk into a circle and belong there. Your speed may vary, the order doesn't.
Two square meters. A bedroom is a training floor. Socks optional, neighbours' forgiveness not included.
The course is self-paced for exactly this reason. Start slow, build stamina week by week. The scene has gabbers of every age.
Lessons are filmed in Italian by Ninho, with subtitles in English, Dutch, German, French and Spanish. Hakken is learned with your eyes and your legs, not your ears.
